KIDJO answers questions about your wireless network using your own data. The thing that makes it useful is the same thing that makes it unusual: where it has no grounding for an answer, it says so instead of producing a fluent one.

What it is

Ask in your own words — "why did this client keep dropping in the north wing this morning" — and KIDJO looks at what your appliance already knows: the clients, the access points, the roaming history, the logs, the configuration it has read from your controller.

It is an assistant, not an oracle. It will get things wrong, and the design is built around that rather than around hiding it: every answer points at what it was based on, so you can check it in one click instead of taking it on faith.

Where it runs today. KIDJO is the assistant inside Vloka, the wireless floor-plan manager for Cisco Catalyst 9800 controllers. It is included with every paid Vloka edition. It is not sold as a separate product, and this page does not pretend it is one yet.

Two assistants, and the difference is where the model runs

They answer the same questions from the same data. One of them does it without anything leaving your network, and the other cannot. That is why they have different names, different marks, and why the second one is never the default.

The dot. Included with every paid edition.

The model runs on your own server, next to the appliance. Your questions, your logs and your client data never leave the building — the daily licence check is still the only thing that goes out.

KIDJO·AI SKY

The plus. Off unless you ask for it.

The same assistant, with the sentence written by a hosted model outside your network instead of by yours. It answers better. It also means your question and the data gathered to answer it are sent out over the internet, which is a decision only you can make.

The mark tells you which one you are looking at. Same icon, and the orange piece is the difference: a dot when the answer never leaves your network, a plus when there is a hosted model added to it. It is on the screen you are working in, not buried in a settings page.

What "grounded" means here, concretely

Log explanations do not come from the model. They come from a curated library and the appliance's own diagnostics. A mnemonic that is not in the library is reported as unknown and recorded locally as something to write — it is never explained anyway.
Answers are about your data. The facts come from your appliance; the model puts them into a sentence.
It says when it cannot confirm something. An empty read means "cannot confirm", never "there are none" — that distinction is enforced in the code, not left to phrasing.
No telemetry back to us. The unknown-mnemonic list that decides what gets written next stays on your appliance and is read by you, not sent to us.

What leaves your network, with KIDJO·AI SKY

This is the first thing on this section on purpose. With KIDJO·AI SKY enabled, an answer is written by a hosted model outside your network, so the following is sent to it over an encrypted connection:

Your question, as you typed it.
The facts the appliance gathered to answer it. Depending on the question that can include access-point names, SSIDs, client MAC addresses, usernames as they appear in your logs, controller configuration and log lines.

Nothing else. There is no bulk upload of your network, no background sync and no training on your data. But be clear with yourself about that second line: on a question about one client, that client's identifiers go out. If that is not acceptable for your organisation — and for a lot of them it will not be — KIDJO·AI is the product, and it is not a lesser one.

Who is involved. The model runs at a specialist provider, and that provider is a sub-processor for this product and for nothing else. Who it is, which model, what happens to the data at their end and how long anything is kept are named in your data processing agreement rather than on a marketing page — the agreement is what binds.
